Commercial – Montrose Uniting Church
PROJECT SCOPE
Interior Decoration – Paint selection for exterior
The committee of this church asked me to come up with a paint colour scheme for the exterior of this humble building, to create a place of worship their community would be proud of.
When I put the bold colour choices together, I was apprehensive that they may think they were too “out there” for a modest church building. I was ever so thrilled when they loved the idea of orange eaves, dark olive weatherboards and green accents!
The building looked rather residential and with it’s beige coloured cladding, stood out for the wrong reasons. So with the darker colour façade and the pops of unexpected colour, this place of worship has been transformed for many years to come.
**This project was also entered into the Dulux Colour Awards in 2016 and was a finalist in the Commercial Exterior category
